2. Chrome plated knob
3. Self sealing valve
4. Matching probe / adaptor
5. Plastic cover with the color codes as per the standard and it is written in big readable letters on top of it that it is 'Air', 'Vaccum' , 'Oxygen' or N2O.

Medical Gas Terminal Unit is simple design straightforward to install and smooth in operation. The gas terminal unit consists of a terminal block with integral shutoff valve, stub of 12-mm copper pipe, back plate, enclosure and faceplate. The different gases is clearly identified on the ring socket by the use of bold permanent colours to BS 5682 1984 / EN 737-1 :1998. All terminal units have Teflon coated, stainless steel rolling pins that allow the smooth insertion and removal of probes. The rolling pin latch mechanism keeps the probe securely in place and an anti-rotation pin is also provided on all wall mounted units. All internal components are degreased prior to assembly and each assembly is pressure tested before despatch. Terminal unit block and socket assembly are gas specific (Uniquely indexed) to prevent the delivery of the wrong gas. Each terminal block incorporates an integral shut-off valve assembly to enable removal of the socket assembly without disruption to the system. The second fix socket and valve assembly is removable in-situ, from the front of the terminal unit without removal of the fascia plate. Each terminal units is subjected to a series of tests in accordance with British Standards European standards and CE regulations, including visual inspections and pressure tests. CE regulations specify batch testing.
